Hair

Hair, the general name given to the cluster of hair on the head. Hair grows faster than other hair clusters. The rate of hair growth can vary between 0.3 mm and 0.4 mm on average per day. Since the growth and pause stages of each strand are independent of one another, one strand may grow and the other strand may fall out. In newborn babies, all hair strands are in the same phase. Therefore, sudden hair loss can be seen in babies between 2-6 weeks. After 6 months hair follicles catch the hair form of adult people.

Parts of the hair

1-Hair follicot

The strand comes out of the hair root (graft). The hair follicle is embedded in the fat layer, the first layer of the scalp, and the very end is called “hair bulb”. Hair bulbs also contain melanocyte cells that form the melanin pigment that gives color to the hair. At the bottom of the hair bulb is called the dermal papilla. This structure is very important for hair growth and nutrition. Each hair follicle is wrapped by two layers, inner and outer. There are also sebaceous glands that secrete sebum that lubricate the hair around the hair follicle.

2- Hair body

The part of the hair outside the skin is called the “hair body.. The body of the hair is made up of dead cells that have turned into keratin, substances that hold them together, and water.

Hair Cycle

The life cycle of the hair consists of three phases: anagen (active growth), catheter (transition) and telogen (rest). The anagen phase lasts for approximately 1000 days, the catagen phase lasts for several weeks and the telogen phase lasts for approximately 100 days. At any time, 5-10% of the hair is in the telogen phase. Thousands of different hair follicles in the scalp are present at different stages at any given time.
The hair grows continuously for an average of 1 cm per month for 2-6 years and then stops growing for 2-4 weeks. After this time the hair is shed. On average, 100-150 hairs are shed daily in healthy people. Because the hair cycle is a very slow time, the benefit of any treatment requires time.
Hair, human, the general name given to the cluster of hair on the head Hair grows faster than other hair clusters. The average growth rate of hair is 0.3 mm to 0.4 mm per day. Since the growth and pause circuits of each hair are independent of each other, one hair can grow and the other hair may fall out. All newborn babies have the same circuit. For this reason, 2-3 weeks old babies suddenly have hair loss. After 6 months Hair adapts to adult hair.
