How does ringworm occur?
Ringworm is an immune system (autoimmune) disease. In autoimmune diseases, the immune system begins to fight its own cells as a foreigner with an unknown cause.
As a result, cells around the hair follicles, called lymphocytes, begin to secrete chemicals called cytokines, which cause hair loss.
Is ringworm infectious?
No, ringworm is not an infectious disease.
What is the cause of ringworm?
The ringworm disease has nothing to do with what we eat. The disease may start in the face of stress and sadness, but not all of these causes are in all cases.
How is the disease seen? H4>
Because ringworm doesn't cause any obvious discomfort that you might notice, you're usually detected by hairdressers or in front of the mirror.
Hair growth stops and is separated from the hair follicles. Ringworm shows three stages. First the hair or hairs fall out at a time, then the area starts to expand.
Finally, hairs or hairs begin to emerge as white or gray again. This can take very long periods, months or years. New hairs and hair will be shed as they grow.
Can all hair fall out?
Approximately 5% of patients affected by ringworm disease have been observed that all hair loss. In less than 1% of ringworm patients, it is observed that all hairs in the body are shed.
